Just stuff wot I've got recently...

Due to current financial limitations most of my recent acquisitions are from trades. Not all, but certainly the majority. If you've got old grotty lead to get rid of think of me! If you haven't then please go and shop at The Little Soldier Company (banner at the top) as that is my baby.

Anyway, on to stuff...

A Dragontooth piece I've been after for ages (thanks Tim!)... now just need a loose version to (in theory) paint.

Black Baron wingless dragon... lovely hunk of lead.

Squadron / Rubin Conan... not a great sculpt but nice to have in my collection. There's meant to be pieces missing but I haven't had a chance to check as yet.

Ferris on the base... I assume the sculptor?

Thunderbolt Mountain Conan and lady type... an old casting. The figures don't go togther very well unfortunately.

A bunch of joyous old Citadel sculpts... marred by the fact I couldn't share them with Richard Orclord Hale who passed recently. I do miss him.

A couple of Citadel Spacefarers robots. One of the nicest sci-fi ranges ever imho.

These loose Robin Hood minis are currently on the way to me... apparently they were in museum type blisters although I've not found any as yet. If you know anything about them please leave a comment.

And of course a short video of the overcrowded hell that is my painting desk...

Anyway, that's it for now... think of me when the lead needs moving on!

Hinchliffe Robin Hood additions...

Well, some joyful additions appeared in the post yesterday morning (thanks Hans) and I'm getting close to completing the range. Wish I could find where I've put the rest of the collection (including a lot from  Hinds Figures. I bought most from him a few years back but then they got put on the back burner and then into the attic when I had a storage sort out... http://www.hindsfigures.com/ - click on Hinchliffe, 25/28mm, Medieval and then Robin Hood. These are gorgeous old Peter Gilder sculpts and a worthy addition to anyone's collection.

From the Hinchliffe Medieval range, 'King Richard' and his followers arriving to chase the pesky Sheriff away...

I managed to pick up the bridge from '1109 The Bridge of Encounter Robin Hood and Little John' a few weeks back...

The range is slowly being added to the Lost Minis WIKI so please send me any decent pics to add!

A bunch more blog posts about the range (plus an Asgard Miniatures one) here.

As always give me a shout on enquiries@deartonyblair.co.uk if you happen to have any old minis that need a new home!

Hinchliffe Calder Craft Robin Hood Adventure Game

Well, I managed to pick up a copy of game at last... there were actually two copies up on evil bay, I put an offer in that was accepted and the other hit £28. Plus postage of course... I was charged £8.75 but it was sent second class signed for at £4.10... I await a response from the seller! Very pleased to have it though. The box was a little the worse for wear however the components are all fine. The miniatures are, as expected, very basically painted but old school has no better love than poorly painted figs...

If you click the link it'll take you to all the Calder Craft posts regarding the Robin Hood booklet and minis.

Hinchliffe Calder Craft Robin Hood series... part le deux...

Well, as mentioned in the above post, I managed to pick up the Calder Craft Robin Hood Adventure Gaming booklet along with the painting and adventure gaming guide. They are lovely old school publications and a great read. The illustration are the same type as the Hinchliffe Collectors guide from 1976 although I'm not sure of the illustrator (unless it was Norman Swales the equipment piece designer who still designs models today?).

The Adventure Gaming booklet

(this is just an A4 sheet folded over)

Still looking for the boxed game of course and the other figure packs...
