Naismith Designs Conquistadors (25mm)

A follow up to my previous posts on the Aztec etc ranges. Managed to find my little stash whilst looking for something else in the attic... I've spent literally hours looking for them in the storage areas they were meant to be in. Hmmm, always the case!

The AZ25 Gentleman Adventurer appeared both with dogs and with sword & buckler... not sure which came first... anyone know?

Citadel Miniatures Dark Ages 54mm

Edited 13th August 2026 to add the bits I'm missing...

Along with fellow hobbyist Steve Casey, I was trying to work out what was missing from one of this range (DA5410 Germanic Tribesman Lying Wounded) as every picture showed it without anything on his back... you'll see what I mean later. Anyway, this rabbit hole led me to getting mine out only to find I'm missing a bunch of bits - I really don't think I've swapped them on or sold them but a couple of hours of going through boxes / drawers etc has proved fruitless!

This was the complete range as it appeared in the old Citadel Yellow catalogue...

DA5401 Rus Warrior
DA5402 Varangian Guardsman
DA5403 Carolingian Officer
DA5404 Mounted Avar
DA5405 Teutonic Knight Swinging Two-Handed Sword
DA5406 Teutonic Knight Parrying with Sword
DA5407 Germanic Tribesman Charging with Spear and Shield
DA5408 Germanic Tribesman Advancing with Sword
DA5409 Germanic Tribesman Falling Wounded
DA5410 Germanic Tribesman Lying Wounded

As mentioned above, the quest started with (Steve Casey) asking me about a missing piece as the base and the back of the figure for 'DA5410 Germanic Tribesman Lying Wounded' showed somethng missing... (his shield is left off in these pics)

I posted on The Oldhammer Community FB page and Duncan McDane suggested a quiver - Steve found one and it fitted perfectly! Duncan wins 100 internet points! More pics below. I do need a spare quiver as I only have one between the figures needing it...

DA5401 Rus Warrior
(Alan Perry)

DA5402 Varangian Guardsman
(Alan Perry)

I have this one on the way to me.

DA5403 Carolingian Officer
(Alan Perry)

Looks like I'm missing the horn and the scabbard on this one (blue pic below edited and c/o CCM)

DA5404 Mounted Avar
(Michael Perry)

DA5405 Teutonic Knight Swinging Two-Handed Sword
(Michael Perry)

DA5406 Teutonic Knight Parrying with Sword
(Alan Perry)

DA5407 Germanic Tribesman Charging with Spear and Shield
(Michael Perry)

Unfortunately I only have a couple of bits from this one...

DA5408 Germanic Tribesman Advancing with Sword

DA5409 Germanic Tribesman Falling Wounded
(Alan Perry)

DA5410 Germanic Tribesman Lying Wounded
(Michael Perry)

I also have a few bits... I don't recognise the arm with the axe...

This was a great range with the added bonus that some were designed to be posed in a group. I really wish the Perrys would do more large scale pieces... the Gallipoli range they did for Peter Jackson was incredible. I have picked up a couple of historicals they did that are in previous posts somewhere. They really are two of the most talented miniature sculptors out there!

Do let me now if you have any bagged sets or just bits and pieces to trade on!
