The Treadmill of Hubris - Kev Adams own Kickstarter!

After decades of sculpting wonderful pieces for many different companies (The Little Soldier Company included 😊 ) Kev has finally got to working on his own sculpts and they show all his usual crazed madness! All images are borrowed off the Kickstarter and remain their copyright of course.

The backdrop is that the goblins (in this case, Boglets, a small variant of goblin, that takes delight in trickery, cunning, and humiliation of their foe), having discovered a couple of Dwarfs drunk next to their barrel of ale, captures and enslaves them.  It is normal for Boglets to use the Dwarfs own barrel of beer as the cornerstone of their enslavement, and they do this with great mirth and delight in what the Boglets have coined, the Treadmill of Hubris.

Read the rest of the story here;

Kev's new fledgling website is here, there's a great WIKI dedicated to his work here, an interview here and, of course, lots of Kev Adams' articles on this blog here (keep hitting 'older posts' at the bottom... )

The Robert Harrop Noggin the Nog piece finally!

Well, all good things come to he who waits... eBay searches for ages and I finally got this one. Robert Harrop has been sculpting miniatures from all walks of life... from dogs and horses to Doctor Who and Camberwick Green but only one Noggin piece... It's from 2007 and features Noggin, Nooka, Graculus and Nogbad the Bad... a worthy addition to any collection. This one is numbered 109 of 600.

I've put The Little Soldier Company's Noggin throne set on to show the scale...

I should have added the Graculus figure really...

Nogbad's moustache is a notoriously flimsy piece and many have been lost over time... I was fortunate to get mine intact however I have had a few spare made if anyone is missing one or more...

Heroics & Ros 1/300 Sci Fi range

I remember seeing this range advertised many moons ago and I finally got a sample pack off them at Salute a few years back so decided to pick up the range. The company was bought out around 10 years ago and keeps going from strength to strength. I fondly remember perusing old Military Modelling magazines desperately wanting to see what all the military models looked like... listings being the sign of those times of course... we weren't spoiled like today with the veritable plethora of high quality images of every miniature we want... H&R still have some way to go with their website but it's a lot better than it used to be. The Sci Fi range isn't listed and the 12 code titles are lost to time... unless you know differently? They were talking of putting them on the website... let them know if you want that to happen! Mark Hides over at Conflict in Colour does a lot of their painting for them... it would be great to see these done by him.
