Unknown Bob Olley (?) Santa... and a Minifigs chromed elf!

 

I was passed this lovely little mini that has appeared on a mould. Problem is we don't know where it has come from? Does anyone recognise it? Personally it looks like one of Bob's sculpts however I have been wrong before...

Edit; identified by Jacob Fathbruckner - it's a dwarf from the Ral Partha box set 'Durin's Doom'. Thanks Jacob!

I was also very lucky to be passed one of the old Minifigs MF (More Fantasy) range chromed masters... MF18 Noble Elf with Sword. Neville Dickinson was apparently paranoid about lead rot and had all masters chromed (I had been told he also? had them all cast in silver for his private collection but haven't had that confirmed)

Politicopoly - it's a Brexit nightmare!

Well, we all know I don't do politics but sometimes you have to nudge the boat... Bob Olley sculpts for the Politicos range from The Little Soldier Company

New minis being molded...... Bob Olley Politicos!

New Year - New Blog Minis.....

Bob Olley's Victorian Scrunts Kickstarter

Yay! Christmas has come early. My rewards from the Olley's Armies Kickstarter arrived this morning so I thought I would share some pics. Lovely sculpts and castings as always from the Maestro and his Missus.

Dear Tony Blair - the miniatures....

In or around 1974 I started enjoying aspects of this hobby.....almost 40 years later I have gone to do something of my own...........2 Evil Duergar by Bob Olley and Derek the Troll (old White Dwarf comic strip penned by Lew Stringer) sculpted by the boy genius George Fairlamb....

Once the greens arrived with Pete at The Mouldmaker they were spaced on the mold rubber and the cavities made...this ensures the rubber flows around the green with less pressure that could lead to damage and mis-molding....all pics below courtesy of Pete....

Pete carefully prises the mold halves apart....

and lo and behold there came unto Pete a beautifully crafted spin mold..

The man himself, Pete brown of The Mouldmaker...a true character with possibly one of the best jobs in the industry....

More details once the 'Disorganised Me' sorts things out...........no idea what to call them as yet...no idea how to package them...no idea how to.......well, you get the drift.
