Oldhammer Tainted Hobbit finally finished.......

Finally finished the tainted hobbit conversion. Previous post detailing the journey is here. A great fun conversion and I'm quite pleased with the hand painted banner....the first I've done in many, many years. The Order of the Chaotic Pork Pie.......or should that be of the Chaotic Kipling Cake?

Also finished a couple of others,  a Mark Copplestone Grenadier Fantasy Warriors Knight - still available from Forlorn Hope Games or Mirliton.

 Picked up a bunch of Westwind's lovely 'Secrets of the Third Reich' miniatures recently and immediately had to paint this guy -'Big Thug'. You can download a free rules supplement to the game here.

It's that time of year again..... my annual London pilgrimage.....now falling on Saturday, April 16th and avoiding the usual London Marathon with the pleasant result that hotels are somewhat cheaper and more easily available.....

Things wot I painted in November.....

A mixed bunch painted during episodes of insomnia. Sleeping pattern is completely thrown at the moment....bed at 8, wake at 12, back to bed at 3, up at 5, children to school....then back to bed. Getting back to work seems to give me the only continuity in that I have to stay awake all night! Anyway, less waffle.....on to the pics....

Citadel Slann......I have collected these ever since they came out 30 years or more ago...this is the first one I have finished. I decided to go for a red base instead of the 'standard' green....the best resource for these is via the Collecting Citadel Miniatures WIKI.

Westwind Empire of The Dead Kickstarter parcel arrived!

From back in March this year, all good things come to he who waits etc. Westwind Empire of the Dead linky here. No time to delve further today but initial package pics below. 

At The Mountains of (Lead) Madness.....

Insanity rules throughout Lovecraftian (and other) tales of the Cthulhu mythos so I thought I would let you enter my own fevered mind......in the shape of the many WIPs on my workplace and the cluttered hobby areas I inhabit.....

These 2 pics are of a late 70s vignette entitled something along the lines of 'Incident at Simga 9' or similar......I think it's a Tony Ackland sculpt but can't find a reference (although I have seen it possibly in an old Military Modelling)

A Sanderson Wizard with cowering wench I picked up at the same time... 

 I also traded some minis for these Tony Yates sculpts....yet to identify the range, they all have FA underneath base followed by digits. I'm guessing an old company called Plastiform but more research is needed....

Another complete unknown picked up in the same trade......

 
Thanks to Marcus Ansell at Wargames Foundry I am the proud owner of these Citadel 'Ferocious Fishmen' all converted way back when for playtesting the original Warhammer 40K, then affectionately known as 'Rogue Trader'

These are my original fantasy versions bought when they were first released (although back row, left, appeared at some point in the last few years) Citadel FF65 Ferocious Man-Fish...check out the Collecting Citadel Miniatures WIKI here.

Dragontooth P37 Halfling Adventurer Thief. Finally finished after all these years...released in the early 80s and I have been putting paint to it for the last 3.......I really must get out of the habit of undercoating miniatures then moving them to the side for the next project.....
