Salute 2026 - stepping in another man's shoes...

As many of you will be aware, I run The Little Soldier Company (for my sins and for the quest of penury... a poor man is more likely to enter the kingdom of heaven etc) and, to say the least, orders have been few and far between for the last few months. So, the grand decision was made to not attend my favourite show, Salute. I normally blog about it of course but this year I had a cunning plan (thanks Baldrick) so bought a ticket and sent it to my most excellent hobby friend, Mark (Asgard) Stevenson. He has just sent a veritable plethora of images for your perusement. This is the 53rd Salute to date... wow! First 3 pics are South London Warlords own. I'll add more once my prog etc arrive!

The freebie miniature this year is a cavalry one - Saladin (or Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub) ... plastic unfortunately, not my thing but seems to be the way these days. Looks very nice it has to be said.

Also a digital download... same again for me but who can stand in the way of evolution.

Held again at London's wonderful Excel. I wonder if the Fox was open this year for the Frothers afterwards... the last two years we had to find pastures new.

Edit... yes, the Fox@Excel was open this year... god really hates me.

The grand entrance... many of the following pics will be out of order as they were downloaded from WhatsApp and appeared relative to size sometimes rather than order sent.

So it's a big thank you to Mark.

Ben over at the wonderful Beasts of War has uploaded a great walk through on YouTube;

My previous Salute visits can be seen here;

Or scroll down the right hand side of the labels and they're clickable by year.
