Looking for TTG Reaper rules and Attack of the Fungoid Trolls...

A long time ago, well, around 1978, in a galaxy not so far from Nottingham, two young men by the name of Richard Halliwell and Richard Priestley penned a set of rules for tabletop gaming... it was published by Tabletop Games and set the world by storm... sort of. Only Mr Halliwell's name appeared on the front of the first edition... apparently they had run out of Letraset! The first edition was ringbound, followed later by the second edition which featured both names on the front... Rick Priestley had finally arrived! Both versions were illustrated by the wonderful Tony Ackland and Tony Yates.

Well, I'm after the original sets of rules and the later expansion, Attack of the fungoid Trolls (penned by both Richard Halliwell and Bryan Ansell)... I can offer cold, hard cash or trade stuff... email me and let me know!

My two sets... slight difference in size...

The short supplement included a separate sheet of counters...

Images of the original rules and the supplement are c/o 'The Miniatures Page', links attached to the pics.

Hinchliffe Robin Hood additions...

Well, some joyful additions appeared in the post yesterday morning (thanks Hans) and I'm getting close to completing the range. Wish I could find where I've put the rest of the collection (including a lot from  Hinds Figures. I bought most from him a few years back but then they got put on the back burner and then into the attic when I had a storage sort out... http://www.hindsfigures.com/ - click on Hinchliffe, 25/28mm, Medieval and then Robin Hood. These are gorgeous old Peter Gilder sculpts and a worthy addition to anyone's collection.

From the Hinchliffe Medieval range, 'King Richard' and his followers arriving to chase the pesky Sheriff away...

I managed to pick up the bridge from '1109 The Bridge of Encounter Robin Hood and Little John' a few weeks back...

The range is slowly being added to the Lost Minis WIKI so please send me any decent pics to add!

A bunch more blog posts about the range (plus an Asgard Miniatures one) here.

As always give me a shout on enquiries@deartonyblair.co.uk if you happen to have any old minis that need a new home!

Gary Gygax, November 1971 Game Report - The Battle of Brown Hills

Whilst researching Minifigs Middle Earth range, I came across this article in Wargamer's Newsletter (No.116, November 1971) by the master himself and thought I should share immediately! Full cudos to http://www.fourcats.co.uk/mags/ who have been scanning the Newsletters for the world to enjoy.

Hopefully of high enough quality to read easily enough, probably best to download then you can enlarge them. I'll be uploading a Peter Laing 15mm catalogue soon.

If you like the blog, please follow it and become a Politico please (top left) - it makes me feel like I'm appreciated! Also, if you fancy buying me a coffee, I'm always grateful... miniature collecting is thirsty work.

Any thoughts please leave a comment and/or email me on enquiries@deartonyblair.co.uk

Dwarven Bar Room Brawl - Kickstarter now live...

Well, it's been a long time coming but I've finally launched the dwarf bar room brawl Kickstarter...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1896378744/bar-room-brawl-rpg-miniatures-for-tavern-skirmishing

All the figures are sculpted by the renowned John Pickford with the illustration by the wonderful Martin Buck.

It's already hit the target so if it keeps climbing I'll commission some more pieces.

It'd be great if people could share the link.

Hinchliffe Calder Craft Robin Hood Adventure Game

Well, I managed to pick up a copy of game at last... there were actually two copies up on evil bay, I put an offer in that was accepted and the other hit £28. Plus postage of course... I was charged £8.75 but it was sent second class signed for at £4.10... I await a response from the seller! Very pleased to have it though. The box was a little the worse for wear however the components are all fine. The miniatures are, as expected, very basically painted but old school has no better love than poorly painted figs...

If you click the link it'll take you to all the Calder Craft posts regarding the Robin Hood booklet and minis.
